We have developed a novel software engine that allows network operators to realise their business objectives by optimising the overall service design including service portfolio, pricing, customer segmentation, network capacity, QoS mechanisms, and network performance targets. The engine offers a new possibility for holistic service planning where business, network, and end-user aspects are analysed together and business objective is used as a holistic planning objective. Traditionally operators have separated their business and technical analyses.
